KIMBROUGH was designed for its namesake KIMBROUGH, an album of 61 original compositions by legendary jazz musician and educator Frank Kimbrough, who passed away in December 2020. The typeface consists of narrow uppercase letters that reference the compressed typography of New York street signage, and Trade Gothic, a typeface that can be found on a number of classic Blue Note album covers designed by Reid Miles.
